Greetings,
Now that my book
Leaving the Left has hit the bookstores — the ones made of brick and mortar and virtual ones like
Amazon — my prime writing focus is my San Francisco Chronicle blog
Sane Nation.
My weekly commentary on political trends can be heard on radio shows including
The Victoria Taft Show (Mondays 6:10 am Pacific);
The Right Balance With Greg Allen (Wednesdays 8:50 am Pacific); and The Lynne Breidenbach Show (Fridays 4:15 pm Pacific).
Rumor has it I'm working on a new book. If this were true, it would be Top Secret. If I were to tell you what any such book might be about, it would be necessary to kill you. Why? Mostly because this tired, overworked cliché from TV shows about secret agents retains for me a certain irresistable charm. Just the same, if you are interested in experiencing Suicide by Author, I must ask that you find another writer. Norman Mailer might be willing to give it a shot, so to speak. He stabbed his second wife, Adele Morales, with a penknife at a party. There's a guest list not to be on, do you think?
My point, and I do have one, is that I am too busy focusing on the book, the one I may or may not be writing, to take on extraneous killings. Firm slappings in the service of restoring common sense may be requested. Very unlikely I'll agree to it, but asking indicates good manners, refreshing in itself.
Keith
